Why this matters

You already know something's off with your water

Most people don't call us because they read a water quality report. They call because of one of these four things.

Spots on everything

Glasses come out of the dishwasher cloudy. Shower doors film over days after you clean them. That's dissolved calcium left behind when hard water evaporates.

Skin and hair feel wrong

Soap doesn't rinse off properly in hard water, so it sits on your skin. Dry, itchy skin and flat, brittle hair are the most common complaints we hear.

Your water heater is dying early

Scale builds up on the heating element and insulates it, so the heater burns more energy to do less. Hard water can take years off its life.

It tastes like a pool

Chlorine is added to keep city water safe on the way to your house. It does its job — it just doesn't taste good in coffee.

Our systems

Built for the water you actually have

City water and well water are different problems. A 2,000 sq ft home and a 5,000 sq ft home are different problems. We size the system to your house, not to a price list.

Savvy Aqua Co standard whole-home softener and filtration system with brine tankMost popular

Standard Whole-Home Softener + Filtration

48,000 grains. Soft water and chlorine filtration in one tank.

Handles the two problems almost every home on city water has at once: hard water that scales your pipes and water heater, and chlorine that makes water taste like a swimming pool and dries out skin and hair. One tank, one valve, installed free.

Best for: Most 3–4 bedroom homes on city water

Savvy Aqua Co well water system with softening tank and Katalox Light tank

Dual Tank — Well Water

Built for iron, sulfur and that rotten-egg smell.

Well water is a different problem from city water. This system pairs a softening tank with a Katalox Light tank to pull out iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide — the cause of the smell, the orange staining and the metallic taste. Two ProValves, one per tank.

Best for: Homes on a private well

How it works

Four steps, and the first two are free

We'd rather tell you that you don't need a system than sell you the wrong one.

  1. 1

We test your water, at your sink

Free, on site, takes about fifteen minutes. You see the result yourself — we're not emailing you a PDF later.

  2. 2

We tell you what it means

Hardness, chlorine, iron, whatever's there. In plain terms, with what it's doing to your plumbing and skin, and what happens if you do nothing.

  3. 3

    We size the right system

Based on your water, your household size and where the equipment can go. Not on what we'd most like to sell.

  4. 4

We install it free and warranty it for life

Our own installers, usually a half day, and we clean up. The warranty lasts as long as you own the system.

Questions

The things people ask us

How hard is my water?

Hard enough in most areas that you can see it — white spots on glassware, crust around faucets, soap that won't lather, and a water heater working harder than it should. Exactly how hard depends on where your city draws its supply, which is why we test at your sink rather than quoting from a map.

What does a whole-home system actually cost?

It depends on your water and your house — the size of the system, whether you're on city water or a well, and where the equipment has to go. The free water test is what turns that into a real number for your home.

Is installation really free?

Yes. There is no installation charge on our systems. It's included, and it's done by our own installers rather than subcontractors.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

The system itself, for as long as you own it. We'd rather sell you equipment that lasts than sell you a replacement in six years.

Do I need a softener, a filter, or both?

Different problems. A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that cause scale and dry skin. A filter removes chlorine, taste and odor. Most homes have both problems, which is why our whole-home systems do both in one unit. On a well, iron and sulfur are usually the bigger issue and that needs a different build entirely.

How long does an installation take?

A typical whole-home install is a half day. An under-sink reverse osmosis system is usually a couple of hours. We work around your schedule and clean up after ourselves.
